Help in Boxes: Practical Support, Packed with Care

At White Glove Restoration, we believe restoration goes beyond repairing homes. It’s about restoring stability and hope wherever it’s needed most. That’s why we launched Help in Boxes, a humanitarian initiative delivering standardized care kits to communities in Ghana.

Each box is carefully designed with input from local partners to include practical, durable items that support health, education, and safety needs following hardship or disruption.

“Our goal is simple: pack smart, ship responsibly, and support local partners who know their communities best.”
Roy Fogel, President, White Glove Restoration

What’s Inside a “Help in Box”

Every kit is built around essentials that make an immediate difference in daily life.

Clean Water & Hygiene

  • Compact water filtration devices
  • Soap bars and hand towels
  • Reusable menstrual care items
  • Toothbrushes and toothpaste

Light & Safety

  • Solar lanterns with phone charging capability
  • Basic first aid supplies
  • Whistles and reflective strips

Learning & Livelihoods

  • Notebooks, pencils, and crayons
  • Age-appropriate reading materials
  • Simple tool kits (per local partner guidance)

Each item is sourced or packed to complement, not replace, local markets and services. This ensures that the kits enhance community resilience while supporting local economies.

How It Works

  1. Co-Design: Local partners in Ghana identify priority items by region and season.
  2. Smart Packing: Kits are standardized for efficiency and then tailored by age group, clinic, or school need.
  3. Clear Handoff: Each box is logged and transferred to vetted partners for secure, tracked delivery.
  4. Feedback Loop: Follow-up communication ensures every shipment is meaningful, relevant, and continually improved.

“The emphasis on listening first and sending only what is useful is exactly what our communities have asked for. The education and lighting kits, especially, make an immediate difference for students and caregivers.”
Joshua Amartey, Partner Representative, Ghana

Thoughtfully Designed for Real-World Impact

Every detail, from the size of the cartons to their durability, is considered for efficient and safe transport. Boxes are lightweight, hand-carryable, and optimized for motorbike delivery in areas where roads are limited.

This initiative reflects White Glove Restoration’s broader commitment to preparedness, recovery, and resilience both in San Diego and across global communities in need.
